The City has received pre-submission applications for Official Plan Amendment (OPA 24-002/P) and Zoning By-law Amendment (A 02/24), submitted by Tribute (Brookdale) Limited, for the Brookdale Centre. The subject lands are located on the south side of Kingston Road, situated between Dixie Road to the west and south of Walnut Lane to the east, and north of Highway 401, municipally known as 1101A, 1105 and 1163 Kingston Road.

The applicant proposes a multi-phased, high-density, mixed-use residential development consisting of 6 buildings and 14 residential towers ranging in height from 17 to 35 storeys. A total of 5,238 residential units are proposed, including 7,149 square metres of retail/commercial space and a 716 square metres daycare facility. 

Before submitting formal Planning Act applications, the applicant is required to submit pre-submission applications to allow the City, applicable review agencies and the public, an opportunity to review the supporting materials and studies. As part of the pre-submission review process, the applicant must host a Public Open House meeting to collect feedback from the public.
