Get excited! We're celebrating Canada Day with a bang - A Regional Virtual Show entitled “Canada Day the Durham Way”  featuring Durham-based talent, will be available on all City social media channels and through the City website from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm on July 1.

More activities and fun online for all ages at pickering.ca/CanadaDay - coming soon – visit the site for online activities, performances, games, virtual e-gaming tournaments, recipes, and more. Residents can access Canada Day portals across the region at durham.ca/canadaday.

We're Painting the Region Red and asking you at home to show your Canada spirit. Municipalities across the region are inviting residents, and businesses to show off their red and white; as we prepare to celebrate Canada Day.

There are many ways you can show your spirit:

LIGHT IT UP – hang red and white lights outside.

DRESS IT UP - dress in red, even paint your face, and share a fun family pic.

PAINT IT UP – paint signs of support, or designs in your window, or to hang from your balconies, and porches.

Share your pictures, videos and stories through social media with the hashtags #durhamstrong #pickeringproud and tag City of Pickering Great Events. 

A select number of images will be included in the online Canada Day celebrations.  One incredible entry will receive a backyard Canada Day feast!
